The Circadian Quotient (CQ)
The Circadian Quotient (CQ) is a simple, science-based measure that reflects how well an individual’s daily routine aligns with their natural circadian rhythm. It brings together five key dimensions—sleep, stress, ergonomics, office culture, and education & support—to provide a holistic understanding of wellbeing and productivity. A higher CQ indicates a healthier balance between work, lifestyle, and biological needs, helping organisations identify gaps and create environments that support long-term performance and overall wellness.

Aspects of the CQ
Sleep (20%) – Assesses sleep duration, quality, and consistency.
Stress (20%) – Measures workplace and personal stress levels through standardised indicators.
Ergonomics (25%) – Evaluates lighting, seating, workspace design, and environmental comfort.
Office Culture (20%) – Looks at work hours, after-hours expectations, flexibility, and communication norms.
Education & Support (15%) – Reviews awareness, resources, and organisational support for healthy habits.
Workshops
At Circadian Care, we offer specialised workshops on sleep that help individuals and organisations understand how circadian rhythms shape energy, focus, and long-term wellbeing. Using insights from the Circadian Quotient (CQ), our sessions identify key behavioural and environmental factors—such as sleep habits, stress levels, and workplace design—that influence restorative rest.
In addition to CQ-based sessions, we also conduct general sleep-education workshops covering sleep hygiene, science-backed strategies, and practical habits that improve daily functioning.
